Work is slow so I'm re-reading rageprufrock's "Visiting Hours" (after finishing up the first part, "Conflicts of Interest", yes it's that slow) ... and can't help but laugh at Connor's retort to his father Lex:

Ok, who broke An Archive of Our Own? Hmmmm? Been unable to get to it all day.

For the last week when I visited (yes, I still go for a CLex fix now and again) I've gotten an error page saying the bandwidths been exceeded.

Since I'm probably the only one still going there, how can this be? Has it been taken down? Anyone know?

So I had this little dream where my HR made me write a letter of apology to Michael Rosenbaum and Ted Raimi ... it seems that having their pictures at my desk and jokingly referring to them as my "man-pies" (yum yum nom nom) was offensive to my co-workers, the community, the men pictured and men in general.

I had to apologize for "treating them like objects", and each formally written apology had to be copied to my company's HR department as well as the city newspaper.

LMAO - crazy huh?!

... Or maybe my subconscious has a point. Hmmmm. Maybe I should write those letters and apologize. I guess it would be hypocritical of me to complain about men objectifying women, then turn around and do it to men myself.


Or maybe I should just send them pictures of me and tell them to objectify me all they want just to even the score. What do you think?

Just saw the new X-Men movie and it was fantastic! Loved the Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Romjin cameos .... and am afraid I may just have to add another fandom to my belt. Darn it.

I'm sure there's some excellent Erik/Charles fic out there, but would love some rec's to get me started.

Also, seems to me that Emma would feel perfectly justified in trying to step in to the same or similar role with Erik that she had with Herr Schmidt ... and that Raven wouldn't like that too much. Anyone know of any fics addressing the probable clash there?

And yes, I know that posting at nearly 1am almost guarantees no one will see this. But I can hope.

Wow, been thinking today is/was gonna be Friday so that's what I've been prepping for. The dream I had yesterday I even dated as Thursday the 7th.

But I just looked at my phone's calender and found that TODAY is Thursday!

Sooooo awesome, I wish I hadn't slept so much of the daylight away.

Just woke up a few minutes ago, groggy and dazed and mindlessly repeating in my head the lines from a song from "Beaches": Industry, Charity, Faith, Hope.

I don't know why. I don't even know how it relates to the mind-boggling dream I had before awakening. It just keeps going on in my head. And the dream would not let me be, I had to write down what I could before it faded completely.

What I wrote is below. It doesn't begin to encompass all I felt and knew ... even now that's fading ... you know how it goes. But this isn't my usual fangirly dream, nor even my not so usual nightmare about bugs. It's about time, the universe, what it all means.
